The English Day 2013
On the 22nd of October our English teachers organized The English Day in our school. Students participated in a lesson which was led by Mr Bartosz Kusy from Pearson Education. We did a lot of English exercises and we found out about MyGrammarLab – an easy application which we can download onto our mobile phones and we can have a lot of English practice.
Next, eight groups of students from different classes participated in a competition. We had to answer 45 questions related to the lifestyle, culture, geography and history of English-speaking countries. Knowledge of songs, capitals, legends, famous people – everything was important. Afterwards, each of the groups presented their posters and gave a speech on the topic of ‘English as a global language’.
The competition was well-organized. Personality, I found out a lot of interesting facts about English-speaking countries.
