Have something done

Konstrukcji have something done używamy:

– Gdy chcemy powiedzieć o czymś, co zostało zlecone komuś do zrobienia, wykonania dla nas.

I had my car repaired. – Zleciłem komuś naprawę samochodu.

– W sytuacjach nieprzyjemnych, – np. gdy mówimy o jakiejś kradzieży, zgubieniu, zniszczeniu itp.

He has his wig blown away by the wind. – Jego peruka została porwana przez wiatr.

I had my car stolen – Ukradli mi samochód.

Porównajmy zdania:

I repaired my pen – naprawiłem swój długopis (sam to zrobiłem)

I had my pen repaired – naprawiłem swój długopis (nie sam – zleciłem naprawienie go komuś).

Kate cut her hair – Kate obcięła włosy (obcięła je sama)

Kate had her hair cut – Kate obcięła włosy (nie zrobiła tego sama, ktoś zrobił to za nią)

Tworzenie:

Podmiotem zawsze jest człowiek. Konstrukcję have something done tworzymy następująco:

Have / get + dopełnienie + czasownik w III formie

Przykłady w różnych czasach:

present simple  –  She has her room painted.

present continuous  –   She is having her room painted.

past simple   –  She had her room painted.

past continuous   –  She was having her room painted.

present perfect  –   She has had her room painted.

present perfect continuous  –   She has been having her room painted.

past perfect   –  She had had her room painted.

past perfect continuous  –   She had been having her room painted.

future simple   –  She will have her room painted.

future continuous   –  She will be having her room painted.

Czasownik ‘to have’ w konstrukcji have something done tworzy swoje pytania i przeczenia w oparciu o operatory poszczególnych czasów: do/does w present simple i did w past simple.

Przykład:

Did she have her room painted?

She doesn’t have her room painted.

Zamiast have możemy użyć również get.

Przykład:

Get – używamy w zdaniach formalnych.
Have – używamy w zdaniach nie formalnych.

She has had it painted = She has got it painted.
She often has it painted = She often gets it painted.

Passive voice – strona bierna

forma ‘to be’
dla danego czasu
past participle
(III forma)
Present Continuous A book is being written.
Books are being written.
Present Simple A book is written.
Books are written.
Present Perfect A book has been written.
Books have been written.
Past Simple A book was written.
Books were written.
Past Continuous A book was being written.
Books were being written.
Past Perfect A book had been written.
Books had been written.
Future Simple A book will be written.
Books will be written.
modal verbs A book can/could/may/might/should/would + be written.
Books can/could/may/might/should/would + be written.
